Taree 2007`
Well what a weekend! Taree 2007! Where Stairway to Heavens main competition in Brett 'the jet' Caldwell in Sensational retired from the racing early on the Friday during the open practice dropping a valve! Unlucky Brett the jet!

Matt Stone in Not Bad also had a disappointing weekend retiring early Saturday morning with oil pressure failure. What a weekend it was turning out to be with 2 very fast boats out for the weekend. Unlucky Matty!

Stairway to Heavens first race was the 6ltr Carby where we had to stand up to Hi-Flya. It was tight to the first turn boy but a comftable win for us in the end with the boat going exceptionally quick.

Dean Barry in Shes the Culprit had an excellent weekend being one of the consistant front runners over the two day event coming in close seconds behind Liberty and Truly Wickerd. Excellent effort Dean!

Greg Hamilton in Freedom had a fantastic weekend in his first race meet in the 6ltr Carby class. Was finishing close 3rds all weekend with a very close win in the final 6ltr race of the weekend. Great effort Greg!

Dave Gray in Noise Works was finding some horse power in the closing stages of the weekend, sussing out his fellow competiors weaknesses and using that to his advantage.. Excellent racing Dave!

Brian McKosker in Liberty once again was the stand out of teh weekend, taking out the title of King of the River for a 3rd time. Awesome effort Brian!

Allan Newton in Truly Wickerd was also a force to be wreckond with in the B.A.D races. Stepping up to the plate against Liberty and Shes the culprit and even beating them on several occasions. Awsome stuff Newto!

The Stairway to Heaven crew had a awsome weekends racing at the Taree Easter Powerboat Classic coming in a close 2nd place behind Hi-Flya in the Allan Smythe Memorial race!

The Stairway to Heaven Crew would just like to thank everyone involved in getting the event up and running from the pit marshalls, tractor drivers, crews, competitors and of course the spectators and fans! Hope to see you all in 2008!
NSW Titles, Windsor 2007
The Stairway to Heaven race team had a great weekends racing at the NSW titles collecting a place in all 8 races entered.

The first 6ltr carby race of the day saw a tough battle between ourselves and Greg Lewis in Hi Flya, with us coming a close 2nd with the placings as followed:
1st - Hi Flya - Greg Lewis - StGAC
2nd - Stairway to Heaven - Michael Platts - UHPBC
3rd - Delusional - Darryl Quinn - UHPBC

Our second race in the 6ltr displacement saw us take a great win against Darren Greentree in Handfull and Mal Everingham in Explicit. The boat looking in ship shape form after a few dramas the night before.

Stairways third race of the day in the Unlimited Unblown Displacement class saw us win convincingly to Darryl Quinn in Delusional and in 3rd place Dean Gerhard in Marineline.

In back to back races, our fourth race saw Nigel Agnew in Typhoon enter the field in the Unlimited Displacement. The Stairway to Heaven team coming in 2nd plave behind the big B.A.D boat with Dareen Greentree in 3rd place in the boat Handfull.

Without much time to refuel and hit the water again, the Stairway team were at it again comin in 1st and close 2nds to qualify for the above finals.

The Stairway to Heaven race team had an excellent weekends racing at Windsor with the boat going exceptioally well and would like to thank all involved in outting on the day and also to all the competing boats.
